Lots of nice stuff in the Dust line but at the prices they want I wont be ordering.

whitphoto08 May 2013 3:49 p.m. PST

Those quoted prices are for the painted versions. The unpainted ones will be significantly cheaper

Yeah, those unpainted models are about $20 USD-40 each.

Thomas Nissvik10 May 2013 2:50 a.m. PST

Yes, please note that the prices are for painted stuff. The unpainted stuff is fully assembled and primed and is very nicely priced for the high quality.

Yes, I just got the P-48 "Bellowing Bertie" from Amazon Friday for only $30 USD, and it's an amazing model, The canopy, canopy "glass", pilot, weapons, and landing gear are all designed to separate from the model as an aid to painting. Mine has it's first coat drying now – it'll soon be Navy Blue with USMC markings!

Maxie,
Thanks for the info about the Bertie model.
Post pics when done painting please.

The Bertie is a very cool extrapolation of WWII design to first gen jet fighters. The Long Tom is okay, but if I was to buy one I'd have to kitbash a barrel at least twice the length of the one show before I could call it "long" ;-)
