I'm digging up comflicting information here. Did the Stukas in the BoB have the two-tone green camo applied or were they a solid, single green? Also were there any theater bands/markings in use at the time in the BoB?

Two-tone splinter pattern w/no theater markings IIRC.

My reference books agree with what highland said. Doesn't look like Stuka's started using theater markings until 1941.

Agreed.

OK, that's what I was going with based on a couple of webistes I found on Luftwaffe markings, but couldn't find much that was theater specific.

Now available and making its world premier at Historicon (see I-94's both – Dave Winfree) are Scale Specialties new Luftwaffe sheet, 300AC-GER-003 covering Ju-87 units for BoB, the Med, N. Africa and an entry for the East. Band widths are discussed, also found on the Italian aircraft in the Med and N. Africa (markings for up to 14 Italian – two different squadrons – aircraft included on this sheet).

Samples of the newest decal sheets and a short description will be found on Scale Specialties web site, ss-sms.com .

The reference listing may assist your research. All sources are from well known aviation historians and publishers with well respected reputations.

Best wishes,
for Scale Specialties
