"This book is from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and intended for the education of U.S. Army personnel.

Through brief historical accounts, it shows how tenacity, surprise, combat engineering, discipline, deception and others affect success in combat. It ranges from stories from World War II through Operaton Just Cause in Panama nearly 50 years later.

Each of the 36 accounts is self contained so it makes good reading when you only have a short period of time."
