I currently have a large 15mm WWII collection based for FoW but having read through BGK and in anticipation of receiving my copy of BGO I want to build a dedicated force for the latter rules.

To keep costs down, I was thinking of using PSC for basic German infantry with Peter Pig providing some of the "non-standard" troop types, ie. Medics, ammo carriers and extra gun crew, etc. which are useful in BGK. Are the two ranges compatible? The figures will be individually based so I would only be concerned if the size difference is significant…ie. PP Colonials v. OG15 type size difference.

Thanks guys.

I mix them and Old Glory Command Decision Figs together with no problem.

PP are chunkier but not enough for me to notice. YMMV.

I've mixed PSC, PP and CD with no problems, except this sounding like a chemistry lesson…

I think it is on the edge.

PSC are visibly smaller … not enough of a difference for some people (including some of my regular opponents) – but just too much for me (I will factor some in eventually I think, but there will be head swaps to make the difference less obvious) …

Thanks for the input gentlemen. I was a bit surprised to hear that PP are larger than PSC. I've always found PP to produce some of the smaller 15mm ranges.

Mmm, like many plastic figures they are thinner than their metal pals but I'm not sure they are hugely shorter than PP.

I'll have to go home and look at them more closely!

Peter Pig's ranges have varied over the years. I think some of their older models are closer to 'true' 15mm that was popular in the 90's, but their more recent additions are closer to the more modern 18mm.

I can't really speak about PSC's infantry specifically as I don't own any. But I have used some of their crew/passengers from their Half-Track kits alongside crew/passengers from Battlefront and Forged in Battle and whilst their proportions are different once painted they look fine. A uniform paint job will cover up all sorts of size variations between models on the same base.
