Just finished the 15mm modern Russians from Eureka but no clue to the Chechens, would they be all wearing the same kit or a mixture, I have looked at images on Google but looking for advice.

It all depends on which Chechen War your Russians are painted for…

Basically whatever the Russians are wearing, the Chechens will usually be wearing the same sort of military gear, but remember Russian military camo and gear evolved from 1994 (the First Chechen War) to the era of the Second Chechen War (1999+).

As a rough guide you'll see Chechens in civilian clothes and/or Afghanka khaki and VSR/SMK/TTsKO types of camo in the First Chechen War. As time evolves and the Russians become better equipped so this is reflected in the kit the Chechens used, so you'll find examples of Gorod (a later variant of SMK), Smog (Russian DPM types of camo) etc. I've even seen examples of desert DPM in a few pictures.

Russian camo of this period is a nightmare, if only because you have a lot of different types of units rotating through the conflict zone (Army, Marines, VDV, MVD etc.).

I don't see any Chechens in their catalog. When were they released?

I contacted them directly and they sent me a catalogue and I put an order in.

I haven't painted mine yet. I'm looking at mixed cams, greens, greys, and the occasional pair of jeans, Adidas jacket, etc.

I have to say the 15mm Chechens are rather excellent. Bags of character considering the scale.
