Solo D&D with a few twists
Or, why I shouldn't do this stuff when I'm suffering from sleep deprivation

This is an old-school Basic D&D solo game. This game was intended to be a one-shot deal and was played as a wargame. All the characters are level 1 fighters.

Photos are available; the guide to the photos is listed in parentheses. Please let me know if the link doesn't work, and I'll try to fix it.

You'll notice the characters aren't regular D&D characters. I don't usually play this way; I just decided to do something different.

The "Heroes" (photos 1-5)
Doombunny: a barbarian from the steppes of Carrotia (photo 1)
Reynard: a swashbuckler and all-around scoundrel (photo 2)
Rocky: a space soldier who went AWOL (photo 3)
Maddog: an enforcer looking to make a quick score (photo 4)
The group picture (photo 5)

The Setting: Ancient ruins with mysterious writing on its walls. (photo 6)

The heroes approach the ruins in search of treasure. They are about to enter when they hear the approach of several creatures. Rocky uses his jet pack to fly onto a platform where he can snipe at any targets with his rifle. Maddog hides behind the walls of the ruins. Reynard and Doombunny hide behind a boulder near the ruins. Soon a group of Green Meanies emerges from the trees. The adventurers wait for them to come close to the entrance before they attack. (photos 7-8)

The heroes attack. Reynard attacks from behind and kills an unsuspecting Green Meanie. The others follow Reynard's lead, but they all miss. The Green Meanies counter attack, but they do not hurt the adventurers. (photo 9)

The Green Meanies win the initiative. Three of them rush toward the entrance in order to reach Rocky. The others stay outside to attack the rest of the heroes. Maddog is slightly wounded. Rocky and Reynard both take out a Green Meanie. (photo 10)

The heroes gain the advantage when Doombunny and Maddog each make a kill. However, Maddog and Reynard are wounded. To make matters worse, all this noise has awakened the dreaded giant Kerlimohlari, who comes out to see what is going on. (photos 11-12)

The tide turns against the adventurers as Maddog and Doombunny are slain. The Green Meanies in the ruins concentrate their attacks on Rocky, as they think Kerlimohlari is on their side. But the giant is mad at everyone and takes a swing at the nearest Green Meanie. Rocky throws a grenade, but it goes wide and explodes without taking any casualties. (photo 13)

The Green Meanies outside the ruins finish off Reynard. Rocky decides that enough is enough and uses his jetpack to fly to safety. The Green Meanies turn to face Kerlimohlari, and manage to nick him. This only enrages the giant, who smashes the skull of the nearest Green Meanie. The others realize they are no match for the giant and flee. They abandon their dreams of treasure and live the rest of their lives in domestic bliss. (photos 14-15)

Glad to help. I'll try to get a Photobucket or Flickr account. That may end my problems with sharing photos.

Might consider setting up a blog. Wordpress is what I use. Others use blogspot. Both will house your pictures quite nicely and are easy to use for such things as write-ups.

I may do that too. Something I need to think about.
