For anyone who has not noticed, The Perry Brothers are working on 28mm plastic ACW artillery. Dose this mean they might be a step closer to 28mm Napoleonic artillery ? I can only pray so. As it is Victrix is closer and will have there plastic artillery out within out life times ( I really need these guys for my Italian Gunners ). Not to mention the conversion possibilities of the plastic sets. The point is ,,,who even comes out with a "GOOD" set of plastic artillery will make a killing. I alone at this time need at least 12 guns and crews and by the time any sets come out I will need more..and at $15.00 USD a pop just to start is really cutting into my wallet. Runicus |

I was thinking something similar. I want a battery of British and Portuguese foot artillery and a horse battery. Starts getting costly. |

I think the price point is going to be 18-20 dollars. At least based on the cost of the new AWI set. |

If you need a lot of artillery on the (relative) cheap, have a look at Old Glory. I have 40 or 50 guns and crews and didn't pay anywhere near $15 USD apiece. |

I rather doubt we'll see plastic Napoleonic artillery from Perry's, since they've gone to all the trouble of doing so much of it in metal. On the other hand, they have an amazing ability to surprise me with their releases, so who knows? |

I rather doubt we'll see plastic Napoleonic artillery from Perry's, since they've gone to all the trouble of doing so much of it in metal. They have also done quite some ACW artillery in metal, but that does not seem to have stopped them from working on plastic ACW artillery set. |

The biggest drawback I see are the gun carriages themselves. The Perry's French line is 1812 plus so that would mean 6lders and 12lders. ( I forget the correct year term for these guns). Your 6lders and smaller howitzers would be on one size carriage while the 12lders would be on a larger carriage. This would lead to a production problem as far as I can see. About the only way I can see around this is to look into doing one set with 6lders and smaller howitzers and one for the 12lders. Runicus |

I'm looking forward to the Perry plastic arty as well. I'll be good for at least 3 sets. I agree that Old Glory is a good substitute for the time being til plastics come out. |
