The tack-on quick-play rules published a while ago in the BT: Strategic Operations hardback have apparently garnered lots of interest. Catalyst has announced a full, whistles & bells, stand-alone rulebook slated for September: bg.battletech.com/?p=4890 I find this quite intriguing. But while I really like the universe (and cool, improbable, big stompy robots), I would rather have a root canal than play "regular" Battletech again. I'm pretty sure it's inflicted on accountants in hell. Anyway, I suffered enough back in the day, but I would like an excuse to drag out my really, really dusty mechs and go at it. Quick-Play. There, I said it again. Zesty! Anyone else's ears perk up at this?
