Always wanted to try the New Gen Donnington figures, but the shipping charges turned me off last time I looked. I had some of the old Donnington figures, and they were alright (Normans), but small, and limited in poses compared to modern figures and standards. Damon. |

These look very nice! Makes me want to persuade the Society of Ancients to make the next Battleday a 13th century battle, The choice is being debated on the Forum at soa.org.uk on the Forum. Roy |

Anyone had tried with this figures? I would think so. Donnington Miniatures have been around for years. |

These particular figures are a new range though. I've used quite a lot of the new era ranges and I've been happy with them. I need some more 13th century knights like a hole in the head but if the SoA game turns out to be Montaperti or similar then I'm sure a few more wouldn't hurt. |

By the looks of it a very nice range of figures. I always enjoy supporting the companies who have been around for a while. I look forward to seeing the infantry component of the range. I recently got bitten with the medieval bug following Anatoli's review of Day of Battle and my subsequent purchase of the rules. I am currently deciding on the period. Leaning towards the early/mid 13th century so these would be perfect. I wonder how they stack up size wise with Essex and Legio Heroica, who both have large ranges for the 13th century? Kent |

I don't (yet) have any of this new range, but I have found the New Era figures across other ranges to be pretty consistent in size. They would suit Essex better than LH though Essex's horses can be quite large. Old Glory 15s, Mirliton, Alain Touller and (for infantry) Black Hat are likely to be the closest in size. I have some comparisons of these on my blog link If (when!) I get to buy some of the Donnington Feudal figures I'll post a comparison. |
