Hey guys. I happen to have enough cash to buy 2 boxes of WGF war of the spanish succession figures. As a person new to this era, which two would make more sense? Infantry and cav, or infantry and cannons/command?

Jamesonsafari04 May 2013 3:26 p.m. PST

I'd go infantry and cavalry. you can have some small skirmishes without the guns.

Go and check Ebor and see if Nick will do you a deal, would be my option.
If your still keen on WGF buy the infantry and then some more infantry, the arty and cav are a bit of a disapointment. You'll end up with some fairish figures for a bit of a musketry stoush and some WGF experience

I enjoy WGF's stuff. I know alot is sub par, but the WSS stuff looks decent.

Also, never heard of Ebor. Paint pig could you elaborate?

You know, you might want to do with 2 infantry for a start – I am up to about four boxes of infantry and am only now about to start on the guns – cavalry after them

Ebor Miniatures, very nice metal WSS figures.
Either way enjoy the period, one of my very favourite.

Yes. Ebor are beautiful. Anyone know how they match up for size with WGF?

Well I just won a box of cavalry from the 20k likes contest on facebook. Guess that solves this problemo
