The officer looks like the German character actor Karl Hans Alberti ( the Tiger tank commander in Kelly's Heroes").

He does a bit. :)

Very similar))) But the appearance of miniatures was coined by me – the prototype was not.

Ah, thank you Snowcat. I was close. evil grin

In the 1960s and 1970s, when Hollywood was making a lot of WW2 films, there seemed to be a whole stable of German character actors that you would see in nearly every film. Alberty was always a really mean Nazi and so it was kind of cool in Kelly's Heroes when I joined the rest of the gang in "liberating" the gold. I always get a good laugh at the look on his face when Kelly whispers in his ear telling him what is really in the bank. Classic!

Sure its me but the figures have a cartoon look about them.

Frederick the Grape09 Jan 2014 3:33 p.m. PST

I think that this is the point, ie cartoon style.

I wasn't trying to be snarky with my post, but rather was trying to affirm Iain' s assumption. I apologize if it was taken in a negative way.

You sounded informative to me, Frederick, and not sarcastic.
