Been there quite a few times and love it. Good steaks in the steakhouse, and ice cold beer in the "Dragoon Saloon"…

Although they did have an issue a few years back with almost being pulled of the National Register for certain issues…long story there…

It's a town that if I was going to live in Arizona (again) it would be one of the top three in my list (Bisbee and Sierra Vista being the other two)…

Meh. Heard too many bad things about Bisbee. I like Tombstone and Sierra Vista. I've been there several times, hope I get to live there permanently one day.

Less than 10 miles away and like most people that live near attractions, usually only go see it when someone is visiting and they want you to take them there. Same when I lived in DC for 3 years: went to the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian once.

My wife was just there visiting friends, and said it was alternately cheesy and depressing. Her pictures pretty much killed any desire I had to go there.

Cheesy and depressing sums up my visit also.

@solosam: Well if you ever make it here, look me up. We have a Yahoo forum (named SVHG for the Sierra Vista Historical Gamers) about some of the historical gaming goings-on. Sometimes spotty traffic, but I try and keep it going. Currently have two hobby shops for what is essentially a large town/small city.

I was there a week after the movie came out, and suddenly all of the reenactors that walk the streets were wearing those red sashes. I dare anyone to ride that countryside of thorny plants while wearing a sash. Cheesy is an understatement.
