Ah-ha no not a typo but some barriers in style of HESCO for my sci-fi stuff.

Here are the digital musings, the real ones will follow shortly.
I will be adding some rubble/filler with green stuff once the 3D master is printed.
As you can see, with these ones unlike many others, the mesh will actually protrude from the main body as opposed to being a recessed line. (something that is a pet annoyance of mine.)

Interesting…..very interesting….. so these will be sort of modern day gabions with an earth fill?

Angel Barracks02 May 2013 10:24 a.m. PST

Kind of, there is already the modern day version:

These will be the RDFs version!

Oh right, I'm with you – so rather than have a pre-cast 'wall' of these as barriers, you'll have the individual components, and then could make up your own lengths/heights?

Yes and no.
I will offer both, I'm that sort of guy!

Angel B roughly how tall will they be?

Angel Barracks02 May 2013 3:34 p.m. PST

12mm tall, which means when placed next to a normal based 6mm figure they will be about 1 to 2mm taller than the figure, thus offering just enough protection.

Sounds big, but it factors in based figures.
Besides they are HEXco, not HESCO, and HEXco are that big.

:P

Turns out they are just big enough to have a based figure standing on each one too…..

The printed masters arrived this morning.
They will be filled with 'dirt and rubble' before I make some moulds of them.
I will probably sell single ones and blocks of 3 so that you can more easily make long wall sections.

All being well they should be ready late next week.
