I'm looking for a 28mm figure with a butterfly net. Preferably male, but maybe a female would be nice too…

And – if possible – some ideas about how to make a swarm of insects or butterflies? (I don't want giant insects!!)

Thanks!

Bob Murch's Pulp line has one: pulpfigures.com/products/view/25

I'm sure there's one more, which I thought was Brigade Games, but I'm having no luck finding it.

I was going to make some bee/locust swarms out of colored cotton ball stuck to a pin. For butterflies check out a craft store in their confetti section.

The Pulp Figures guy is great.

For a butterfly swarm, I'd use butterfly confetti ( link ) or a butterfly punch ( link ). Paint on some bodies and add some patterns to the wings. Mount each butterfly on a thin curved wire, painted black, blue, or whatever color you thinks looks good. A dozen or so butterflies on a stand wouldn't take long, and would look like a big swarm.

Professor Milo Milktoast the lepidopterist is just perfect! I don't need the other figures in the pack though… :-(

I wasn't aware something like butterfly confetti exists – brilliant idea!

Thank you, guys!

I have the pack and have no use for the professor. I will try to find him, among the detritus of my collection and send to you. Send me your mailing address.

That is a nice set with 4 good figs. Glad someone wants the 5th. The woman got converted into a naval officer in dress to command my Hinterland VBCW naval unit.

Butterfly swarm…what about the little confetti on short pieces of fishing line bound at the base to a stem mount?

Lots of space between less is more theme :)
