Hi All - Someone told me that there's a FoW scenario (may be in Open Fire) pitting four Shermans against a Tiger. Can someone please direct me to an online resource for that? I need it as a basis for a scenario of my own. Thanks! Wyatt |

Dunno about that, but there was an incident in which a Jagdtiger went up against a Sherman platoon. And lost. Mainly because the nitwit commanding the tank failed reverse below the crest before turning around after he started taking shots from the Shermans. |

Actually, I'm looking for a scenario that works out to be essentially a fair fight. If I understand it correctly, the scenario is in a small urban setting where the Tiger can have some cover vs. flank shots, but the Shermans can use speed to move around and root him out. Wyatt |

The cover will probably help the Shermans more, especially if the Tiger can't fire on them as they move forward (I doubt they've changed that major rule flaw). You could just start them out in the open, and/or with some trees/bushes for concealment, and a medium to long range. The Tiger should easily kill off a few, before one of the Shermans can get close enough to harm it. I wouldn't bother checking the Tiger's pen, if it hits, unless you really want to, since from what I recall, many shots would go through both sides of the vehicle. The Shermans will need to get a nice, perpendicular angle, on the side, or rear of the Tiger to damage, or kill it. Oh, and make sure your gunner is using AP, and not paint rounds, like in a certain movie (Kelly's Heroes – a classic). |

It was a platoon of Sherman's against a Tiger II. I can't remember where it was though. |

Sounds like the denouement of Kelly's Heroes. Use that for a basis of the game. Doug |

There is a scene in 'They were not divided' with a troop of Sherman's against a Tiger. Hedgerow country near Bouegebous. |

PDF link ? Don't think that's it ? IIRC it was in one of the product listings from about 4-5 years ago? If it helps all the Shermans were 76mm version. LES |
