From Wikipendia: Zombie Awareness Month is a campaign to bring awareness about zombies.[1] The campaign is celebrated by its supporters during the month of May.[2][3] Supporters of the movement wear gray ribbons to spread awareness.[4] Zombie Awareness Month was observed during May because several films involving zombies tend to be set in May, most notably, George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead. However, in 2012, the CDC observed Zombie Awareness Month in October.[5] The Zombie Research Society, founded in 2007, claims to have started Zombie Awareness Month.

so why can't we have MORE than ONE 'Zombie Awareness Month'…depending on WHICH types of Zombies we're being aware of? I mean, there's an National Pickle Day even, so why not more ZAM's???? Even the 'Earth' only get's ONE day a year and think of where all of us…even ZOMBIES, would be without it! Makes you kinda more appreciative, don't it? Sgt DWW-btod |

Zombies are one of the leading causes of death for Fictional-Americans. Each day thousands of characters die at the hands of zombies, often times repeatedly.* The tragedy is that many, if not all of these deaths were preventable: if the rest of us would just reduce (or eliminate) our usage of zombie themed media, we could stop this senseless waste of fictional life. This summer, join tens of Americans, and help put an end to zombie related violence.
