May I present the Junker Insurgents!
These junker civilians have taken up arms against what they see as another corrupt Earth like regime. They do not wish to be a part of the system of corruption and back-handers that only serves to see the rich get richer and the poor oppressed good people get trodden on. They will fight to keep the Junker community free from all evil Earth influence and make sure that the Junker people will remain free. They don't have the best kit, or the best training (none really to be fair) but they do have the home advantage and will excel as guerrilla fighters, using any and all methods to win their war on oppression. Well that is the ‘official' use for these figures. I can't see why they could not be militia, or rebels, or mercs or anything else really if you like
I also think these are pretty nifty for 6mm, even if I do say so myself
But then we six-millers know that Size Matters! |

You know, I love 6mm but I can't believe those are that small. They're outstanding! I think apart from the sculptors excellent skills the internet has helped here.
With the proliferation of websites, be they blogs, forums, e-shops, etc that show off figures, the awareness of what can be achieved is broadened. People can see what level of detail is possible and not accept lesser quality. This in turn pushes up the quality of the product available to all. People can see great eye candy wherever they go these days and as such, and rightly so they expect great product. A good paint job can make a mediocre figure seem good, so having a good paintjob on a good figure can make it appear even better. I am all about challenging the accepted standard and view that 6mm is all about the mass effect. I want to try and show people that 6mm can be about single figures and need not just be about figures en-masse. They can have character, they can be individuals, a good 6mm figure dare I say it, can be better than an average 15mm figure. I know that trying to market 6mm as a skirmish game is not the wisest idea in terms of making a sound business model. Making hordes of armoured vehicles and average looking figures would no doubt make me more money, as people still mostly play 6mm sci-fi at the army level. But plenty of other companies do the army level so well, it would be a huge challenge for me to be seen as equal to them. So here I am offering something different, something that whilst a bit fringe will in time catch on and maybe, just maybe one day people will be trying to get in on my 6mm sci-fi skirmish racket that is all the rage
Michael. Size Matters!

Sad day today at AB HQ. The master sculpts as shown in the OP have arrived, YAY!! However thet are not 6mm tall. :( They are taller, sufficiently taller that I simply have no use for them. I am waiting to hear back from the sculptor about what can be done. He may or may not want to start again, in which case I will need to find a new sculptor. He may be willing to start again but it could take a couple of months before they are done, then there is the moulding and casting to do. Either way, the Junker Insurgents will NOT be those as shown and no matter what they are, they could easily be another 2 months or more away.. :(

I see what you mean from the pic's you've emailed me. That rocketman guy is nearly 10mm!!!!!! I'll start putting together my order for next week. Now that I'm less busy and have more money. That should cheer you up a bit. |

Cheers Greg! Just heard back from the sculptor and he will re-do them ASAP. Of course they will be a bit smaller this time so I expect not quite an amazing level of detail as before. The sculptor has restored my faith in humanity! |

Yay, the re-sculpted Junker Insurgents are done:
A pack will be comprised of:
2 x Leader 1 x rocket 1 x sniper 3 x rifle 1 3 x rifle 2 They are in the post to me and then once checked and what not they will be off to the casters!
