I have just ordered some Offensive Miniatures 95th Riflemen. Then I saw a pick of one next to a Victrix plastic infantryman and he looked like a 12 year old next to an adult. Are they 25 or 28mm? How do they really scale against other currently popular ranges?

Cheers
Brian

Oh, Those comparison shots :)How come I never saw that when I was ordering from the OM site? D'oh.

Thanks for that.

Funnily enough, I'm about to review Offensive Miniatures Napoleonic figures on my blog. I would say they are 'smaller' 28s. I have not had a chance to get the figures side by side yet but I reckon they should be a good fit with Alban Miniatures, maybe a touch bigger?

OM figures are a touch stockier than Albans and a touch slighter than Perrys. They could certainly share a table and I have mixed OM and Perrys together in a unit and they look great.

They mix best with Crusader (same designer, same dolly) and Foundry (designer used to work for Foundry). They are shorter than Perry and Victrix. I intend to put mine in their own unit, brigaded with Crusader.

May be this helps, too:

I work for OM, but I am also a gamer with many, many different figures in my collection.

Our figures are true 28mm, but I think seem slighter due to the fact they are anatomically correct. We have avoided the classic caricature type figure, but each to their own, eye of the beholder etc….

Heres some shots of a mixed unit of French Infantry, half Perry plastic(painted by me!) and half OM painted by one of other painters (the boss might post who he is). I put a spacer under the OM ones to make the bases the same thickness.

I also post some shots of a real mixed bag of rifles, ours, plastic Perry freebees I painted up and some Too Fat Lardie figs that I won for coming second in a competetion in one of the mags, plus another quite caracture type (cant remember whose, but Ok I kinda liked them so I bought them ages ago!)

I meant I put a spacer under the Perry ones as you can see,
