It has been a little while since I popped on to the forums at TMP with an update so please find a few taster pictures of forthcoming releases of French line infantry figures.
Hope you like them.

A couple of French greens… A Voltiguer and a Grenadier in marching poses.

A couple more French greens… Fusiliers of the Line advancing.

A French green. This time a fusilier of the line in marching pose.

Keep up to date with the progress at facebook.com/pages/Alban-Miniatures/323781817858 or albanminiatures.com

Excellent news! I really like these figures.

To my mind, the chest strap looks very wide, and the hands look oversize as well. Otherwise they look nice.

Gonsalvo02 May 2013 4:22 p.m. PST

Glad to see the French Line coming along! I do agree about the width of the straps/webbing seeming broader than usually seen. Could be related to the more anatomic proportions, however.

Please please consider removing the shako covers. These are great figures. Why hide the shako plates?

Widowson05 May 2013 10:46 a.m. PST

And Marc is right. The cross straps are too wide.

Will feed back re the cross straps.

Here is an Alban Workbench update. Please note that this is all work in progress.

First we create a dolly…

then add some equipment…

then we sculpt the required poses

Some more work in progress shots just in from the work bench…

How soon before they can be purchased?

AlbanMiniatures30 May 2013 3:39 p.m. PST

Soon I hope. A few left to sculpt and some finishing to do then it's on to mould creation and casting. Feels like a Summer release right now.
All the best,

ALBAN FRENCH LINE UPDATE: Figures received today and the straps have now been finished and look much better. I am very happy with the results.
I will be sending these off for moulds to be made up and will be releasing them to albanminiatures.com in due course.
I will make sure I put plenty of pictures on the Alban Miniatures Facebook site too so be sure to visit in the coming weeks.
All the best,

Bonjour,

I do like these and look forward to seeing some painted examples.

Just a minor point about the officer's sword. It does seem to be the size of a furled umbrella which is a bit off-putting but maybe that'll be changed for the production chaps.

Cheers,

Paul

Is that a corkscrew the pointing NCO(?) carries in his bayonet scabbard?
