Hi everyone. Rules are now online for Trash Bash 2013: link If you like to kit-bash or scratch-build check out this annual contest, now in its third year! We have some excellent sponsors and outstanding judges such as gaming legend Rick Priestley and Bryan Steele of Ravage Magazine. The last couple of Trash Bashes have been a lot of fun and showcased the amazing talents of gamers and modelers all over the world. I'm sure this year will add even more inspirational builds and I can't wait to see them. Thanks! |

Motivated by the arrival of my bag of wireless mice and the start of this challenge I have already started. Almost completed the build. So far I have used only mouse parts :) |

I recall YEARS ago seeing a converted mouse for use with WEG's Star Wars, and then realizing I could never carry off any of my dreams of such work. *sniff* Have a gutted mouse on the chest-o-drawers just in case I ever wanted to try. May give it a go. You all deserve a laugh. Not that I ever finished any of the disposable shaver spaceships

My issue is going to be my painting skills are not up to my building skills level
hope my painting effort does not blemish my construction too much lol :) |

I've got a broken Apple mouse in one of my desks somewhere, might have to get in on this! No idea what to build though, I'll start gluing things together and see where it takes me. The glue fumes normally end up producing some interesting ideas! And I echo the sentiments on painting skills, mine aren't up to my kitbashing unfortunately. |

Dead mice, sounds like I need to make a trip to Weirdstuff Warehouse, I have some bad ideas and they have a large box of dead mice for a buck a pop

Mine is complete. I picked up a blue plastic electrical box to make a docking pad for my craft. Once I finish that up then I will add the minis. I went down the long range trader/merchant path. |

I have a good start on mine. The basic layout is done. I need to come up with a door and a driver view port, then it's mostly decorative details left. |

@Leland, that's not inspiration, that's intimidation. Scared me right off
Not that it takes much
In that spirit, I'll point a few that almost work 'as is', and one I seem to recall from the last millenium (Page (c) is 2002).

Just a quick note on the rules. I'd rather entrants not post work in progress shots of their entries until the winners have been announced. This helps the judges to see everything as evenly as possible without prior bias. I hope that everyone who enters is documenting their process so they can post work in progress articles once everything is finished. This whole contest is about inspiration and all of the entries will have something to offer. Thanks! |

Just a reminder that Trash Bash 2013 ends in a little over a week. I'm hoping we have a good amount of entries this year so finish them up! |
