There are some plastic/rubber starfish toys out there that with a little modification make a terrific Starro, the original galactic nemesis of the Justice League of America. Here's mine in action (against some JLAers and ringers, mainly Heroclix-based).

I mean, who doesn't admire galactic menaces in the form of giant, super-intelligent, super-powered starfish? Makes sense to me.

That is a lot cheaper than buying the Starro clix figure on the secondary market and looks good! I have all the Justice League clix with the Starros on their faces.

Surprisingly easy to convert superhero figs to Starro drones too – adding a "facehugger" sculpted out of putty is quite simple in most cases. Done a couple of batches of those for folks on commission.

That's a blast from the past.

I managed to obtain the Clix version for a reasonable price on the secondary market. . .but really like the look of yours!

Starro is a classic – I think its neat that DC occasionally brings him (and/or his starfish buddies) back to menace our planet. . .

JLA Roll Call:

I see Superman, Batman, Batgirl, Flash Wonder Woman, Wonder Girl & Green Lantern. But who are the 2 with the green flocked bases between Wonder Woman & Girl?

NICE! I recently played in a Mutants and Masterminds RPG in which Starro was the villain. The twist: We were playing Marvel characters. It was a blast!

Starro, too cool!

Maybe Cyborg and Godiva? Yeah, I can't figure out who those are either.

I can't tell what the figure closest to Wonder Woman is, but the blonde in pink next to Wonder Girl is a repainted and slightly converted Invisible Woman from the Fantastic 4.

Like this one from the Secret Invasion set:

Indeed, you have spotted the two outright interlopers, original creations Tornado Girl (one of several I have modified from various Invisible Girl models) and Panda Boy (converted from … I forget, some Marvel guy with a gun that others have also modified into the Phantom).

Both hail from Earth-Z. Tornado Girl, the funnel femme, cyclonic siren, vixen of velocity, whirlwind wanton, barometric bombshell, and etc. and etc. Is she heroine or menace? Panda Boy, scourge of pirates, polluters, and poachers, with the incredible powers of panda-monium acquired by eating the tender young shoots of the bamboo plant….

Silver Age silliness.

I was thinking it looked a bit like a panda. So you pulled that part off well.

Thankee! Dexter (Panda Boy) McMahon is true to his origins and allegiances! Making and attaching bear ears was key.

I used the same base figure to convert into a Ben Justice, a Detroit-based masked pro wrestler from the early 70s. (Not, alas,a member of the JLA.) Great thing about skin-tight uniforms, they can also be painted as flesh.

…panda boy…(facepalm) lol

That is a great Starro
