More pictures of the great games at Little Wars as well as my Command and Colors: Ancients game: The Battle of Trebia, featuring figures painted by Scott MacPhee.

I love Scott's painting style. He is prolific and they look great on the table top.

You had a great looking game. I had decide between eating din-din and getting in your game and the stomach won out. After seeing your pics, I wish I had just gulped a hot dog there instead.

I was in the "Trieme Bumping" game you show in your pics. It actually was a Viking naval battle with various sized long ships. The guy who ran it certainly knows his Norse Sagas. The background briefing he gave before the game would have made an excellent soap opera. First time I've gotten to roll a D30!

Beautiful pictures. I'd love to play the Viking game.

Thanks guys.
It was a blast.

That was a good game. Smoothly run and everyone had a good time and got something to do -- except the commanders on the Carthaginian left / Roman right, whose role was primarily "shaping the battle's progress." But that's the generals' call, not the GM's. Really nice figures as well.

Were those 3" or 4" hexes?

I saw your game and thought it looked great. Well painted figs well mounted. And you were right. It seems that the know-it-all-quibble-about-every-rule/ruling types stayed home this year. Personaly I didn't see any of those types there. Hopefully they will stay home next year.

Does anyone know anything about that all-cavalry 28mm Napoleonic game? It was awesome to see a table packed with nothing but cavalry.

Those Aventine Republican Romans were fantastic! The game itself was very inspirational and reminded me of my Tactica gaming days. It was a hoot to watch!

I still use Tactica!!!!!!!! Mike Adams P.S. Those were great looking figures!!!

I can see I missed a number of good looking games as I was tied up from about 7:30am until almost 2:00pm Saturday setting up, running, and packing up my game. Bummer!
