Some of the stuff looks pretty cool. The sky chariot is a neat addition and the Phoenixes are very impressive models. It looks like the most useful set for the Elf player would be the Shadow warrior boxed set. The Maiden guard that you can build with that kit looks pretty impressive with their fiery bows. But I don't play elves. |

I guess a link would come in handy: link |

Yes, some very impressive models there. The sky chariot would look fine even without the birds – a purely magical flying platform, maybe as a Spelljammer gig or lifeboat. |

I'm a High Elf player since the mid-90s (4th edition), so Ive been watching these very closely. I'm definitely buying a phoenix (or two), and maybe shadow warriors to expand my current collection of 6e figures. Beyond that, though, most of the other stuff are just OK. Also probably going to pick up the heraldry book as well. Also noticed they're doing decals again
a little too late for me, but cool nonetheless. Damon. |

Here in NZ you will you need a second mortgage to pay for them. The Warriors of Avelorn set is NZ$226 (US$194 approx). For 22 figures. |

Is $50 USD for 10 infantry the new normal price? In plastic? I have been buying almost every elf made for a lot of years so I certainly do not need more. But, I like the sea guard and maiden guard models. I tend to field 24 model blocks. A lot to spend for a unit. |

I don't like the airboat actually, looks pretty odd. The new phoenixes do look ace though. Haven't bought a GW model in ~12 years, but High Elves were my first army, so the new models are still tempting

Out of my price range. I get my high elves from Tom Meier. GW can't match his elegance. |

GW can't match his elegance. That's the truth. |

"Is $50 USD USD for 10 infantry the new normal price? In plastic?" It is if they are GW's just be glad that they aren't Finecast Resin because that would over $200 USD for 10 figures. All I want to know is how much do the new Maiden Guard cost and what they look like since I would love to get my hands on 30 of the old metal figures. But even selling on Ebay those costs far to much. Want them for my Imperial Guard army. So they need to be easy to convert. The metal ones were easy to convert. I am not interested in the Monsterous Cav or the Eagle Chariots. |

"Out of my price range" Hell almost anything GW makes now days is out of most individuals price range. The new Army Book will be hardback and will cost you $50 USD+, and it will not really have any thing new it other than the huge models that GW is giving every army. So that is not worth buying either. |

This price-jacking is sad. I dabbled briefly in WH "Empire" since, being principally an historical gamer, I could "con" myself into thinking I was playing High Medieval or Renaissance Germany. On a whim, I had read a few of the "Empire" novels, and even though the protagonists were battling beasts, the pathos appealed to me
I even went in, in a small way, for 40k Imperial Guard ('cause I liked Starship Troopers & Space Above and Beyond). But these prices will drive me back to "cheap" $2.00 USD & $3.00 USD/figure metal and $0.80 USD/figure plastic historical gaming. HAIL CAESAR!! |

I admit I likes me some boutique minis (Infinity, Anima Tactics), but $126 USD for 20 rank&file and a larger vehicle is ing insane! |

I like how these prices seem so horrifying to you when they've been the standard Australian pricing for quite a while now. I think GW could keep their box prices similar if they just designed their sprues more efficiently, sacrificing doodads and increasing the number of figures per box. That might lower profits, though, and is therefore blasphemy against the God-CEO of nerdkind. |
