Does anyone know where this figure might have come from, it's base leads me to believe it was definitely produced for a miniatures game, was there an official line of Robotech miniatures at some point?

I believe that is an unreleased mini from Griffin Miniatures. |

It isn't, I have the Griffin miniatures figures. Well at least the Invid Scout figures. They are detailed a lot differently, and the picture of this miniature is different from any of those ever previewed from Griffin (this is where I started looking :D ) |

Yeah, back in the 80's by Iron Horse miniature (?). I knew that they did Macross miniatures but I didn't know that they made any thing for any of the other series in Robotech. |

Goldring had the License to produce them for Dark Horse. Then Goldring went belly up. |

I've got several the Dark Horse Robotech minis but never saw any Invid from that line. |

I wasn't able to find any proof that they made Invid either, but I've been looking. |

Well, I can try to ask Wolf, but I haven't seen him in a couple years

I'm not sure who Wolf is, but any leads would be awesome. Dark Horse sounds like the best bet so far, but I noticed none of the others have the Broccoli base that this has. |

Hmmm from what I can find
Dark Horse Miniatures was a two man, then one man, then the other man operation. Ian Lungold was (RIP) the first one man and sculptor. D.W. Tripp was the second one man. Together they developed Dark Horse Miniatures and in turn Dark Horse Games. Bob Charrette is noted as the DHM Robotech sculptor. SoL link shows several miniatures with none matching the above interest item
or matching the style of the base. link You could ask D.W. directly via his twitter account :) (this is him I believe lol)

Yup, that's the guy. Always knew him as 'Wolf'. He and the Dark Horse Games shop got me into 40k, a little bit of Battletech, and a whole lot else. |

I shot him a tweet, though he doesn't look to be active on twitter his tweets are a year old. Regardless, the figure is going to be shipped to me and I'll take more photos and see about the underside of the base. |
