How much different are the rules for shotguns in the new printed version is there versus the old free rules ?

They are fairly different. I think they are similar to one of the shotgun variant rules. I like the new one. Basically, you are simply rolling to see if your target is in range and arc of fire and if so how many hits. No actual roll to hit. Thanks, John
