Some interesting and welcome new AWI releases from Perry Miniatures. I particularly like the AWI Camp set. Do you know, or can you find out, whether the set includes the man carrying the bucket – it is shown as part of the set in the WIP pictures, but not in the photograph you have provided the link for. Most grateful if you could find that out for me. Thank you. |

These have only just been released, so it will be a few days before anyone gets their hands on them. |

It's tough to control spending when the Perry's keep coming out with releases like this. Thanks |

Dunmore's force makes quite a nice little tabletop army. In addition to the "Ethiopians", there's a detachment of the 14th Foot which included both flank companies, sailors and Marines from the Naval vessels under his command, and a number of Loyalists in civilian attire, with the occasional old militia/provincial uniform. And maybe the odd Scot or three with a "tatty bunnet" and a kilt or trews. |

It's time like this that I wish I had the time, space, money and skill to do 28mm AWI. Oh well, back to the 15's. |

Did these chaps actually do much fighting? The Chartrand loyalist troops MAA suggests they were disbanded after a year. That said, some of the names of the soldiers are a good enough excuse to model the regiment: link "Moody Nimmo" and "Scipio Thorowgood" are my favouriters. |

Giles – They were mostly engaged in raids through to mid-76, attacking storage facilities, small docks, plantations etc. Almost everywhere of importance in Virginia at that time was situated on, or within a short distance of, a river, as it was the prime method of moving large quantities of agricultural produce. The musketmen are also good for the occasional "free man of colour" in units made up of the Perry "Northern Militia" (be they actual militia of un-uniformed Continentals), due to the clothing looking like caped greatcoats. |

The Perry's have got this absolutely correct. Their AWI range is truly fantastic and now incorporates so many different and diverse units. Where could they possible go now with it – a Crossing of the Delaware vignette, perhaps? |

Giles; SM hit it on the head. Lots of possibilities for skirmish games with these figures. So I get 20-30 figures worth. They can play both sides. Eric |
