Hi all. Wanting to convert a sd kfz 251 to a sd kfz 251/10.

Need a pak 36 (but not necessarily any crew) I can chop up to mount on the half track (I assume it's the same weapon).

I'd go Warlord but I don't really want to spend 12 pound on something I'm not going to use the crew for, (or wheels, trail etc)..

Thanks for any help or suggestions…

Further to the above, I wonder if I could scratch build one?

I'm a pretty clever fellow after all:)

It was sometimes mounted without the gun shield, yes?

BTD have 1 for under 12 pounds if you become a "premium member". They also rotate sales so you might get it cheaper still if you wait. However, I have no idea if it matches the scale of your 251.

HI GandJ, yeah BTD is an option. Have to say, though, I'm starting to warm to the idea of trying to scratch build one.

Could be an interesting project. I always learn a lot about a thing when I'm trying to build one..

How about a PSC Russian 45mm gun? Based on the PAK 36. In fact as the kit has three types of gun barrel, all you need is a spare short gun barrel off someone…

Thanks Gecoren. I'll check it out!

Where are you based, I have a couple of spares lying around I could trade…

Thanks Porkmann! I'm in Australia, so it might not be practical… but I'll drop you an email anyway.
