Whenever I paint bronze armor, it always seem to coume out shinier and more coppery than the better examples I've seen. Other than NMN, how do people manage to get that duller, burnished look to their bronze? Thanks. |

I use a base of dark brown, then highlight with hold mixed with the dark brown, do a final highlight of straight gold, then use a dark brown ink wash. |

I mix a red-brown into gold, painted over brown. Then light dry-brush with gold. The artist term for this color is burnt senna. Also seen as "cinnamon" and several other terms. |

An ink over the base color would work well as mentioned above. |

I use GW Tin Bitz with succesive Dull Gold and Bright Gold drybrushes for highlight. |

Bronze powder and linseed oil. The real stuff. Available from most art shops. Get the finest granulation possible. |
