We are trying to decide whether SAH is going to be a full color book or black and white book.

Cast your vote. Should Song of Armies and Hordes be a color or black and white book? Color means that the print edition will cost about 4 dollars more, there will be some illustrations but mostly photos of miniatures in action (both 15mm and 28mm) used to show basing examples and contacts, flanking etc. It will also take a few more days to produce.

Black and white means the diagram will be done as clean line drawings (much like your geometry textbooks) and there will be little or no photos (I do not like how miniatures, especially 15mm, look when printed in grayscale).

No, you can't have both. Please cast your vote only if you plan to buy SAH. You can vote here, or on the SBH facebook page, or on the yahoo group… please only vote once. Thanks!

black and white!
Your rules are playtested and that is much more than the most games on the market today!

Go one like this and focus on the rules content and not on bling bling.

Greetings

What's Song of Armies and Hordes? SBH army level? If so I'd be getting the pdf so prefer b&w.

Agent Brown, yes, it is SBH army level.

paul liddle25 Apr 2013 10:14 a.m. PST

Black and white please.

Black and white. I love your pdfs, and I can print them at home when the time is right in black and white

not ready – the text must be edited (1 week?) and all the diagrams and illustrations need to be drawn (10 days?). Then it must be pageset (3 days) and proofread again (3 days?).

Definitely Black & White and tomorrow ideally.

Black and White we've all seen painted figures before.

I like nicely painted photographs of miniatures, but I can see that explaining the concepts of SAH in a succinct and clear way will be easier with B&W line art.

Black and white wins!

Matheo27 Apr 2013 4:51 p.m. PST

Cool. I love the oldschool feel that b&w printing provides.

gorenut22 Jun 2013 3:42 p.m. PST

B&W. I like that your rules get straight to the point and the rulebooks should compliment/reflect that
