Does anyone produce "war of the worlds"-style martian pod/walkers scaled for 6mm? There is a kickstarter project that will be making 15mm scale pods, but I'd like to square off against my 6mm ww2 and modern tanks.

Studio Bergstrom has the tripods & the 50's movie version in pewter 6mm scale.

GZG had one but I do not see it in the product list.

Thanks for the link to us Legion 4 – I'd say our Tripods & Flying Machines would scale well against 6mm figures & tanks (We play a lot of 6mm too).

I was thinking of Troublemaker Games but had a mental block over the name.
I kept looking for Timeline Games, so sorry..

Brigade Models' Olympian range is pretty good, too:

There are lots of smaller tripods in 15mm that would be good for big tripods in 6mm. The arachnid walkers from Malifaux have a steam punk feel but might work as well.

Prendraken makes 2 in 10mm……

Does anyone know how big the stuff is from Troublemaker?

Privateer4hire25 Apr 2013 8:15 p.m. PST

It says it's a 10mm game, PJP. If that helps.

I know!!!

The Martian infantry are about 6-7mm tall.
The Martian Tripods are 4-5cm tall depending on how you pose them.
The Martian Flying Machine is 5.5cm in diameter.

Glad to help, Troublemaker ! wink

Eureka Miniatures in Australia make some excellent tripods suitable for 6mm. If you reinforce the legs with rigid wire you won't need to base them, and then they look really cool standing astride other 6mm models.

They also carry these smaller ones

Try Spartan Games/Studio Sparta they do some for their Dystopian range which would fit well. I have 3 of the 'frigate' sized pods, just right for 6mm
