For those who have been following this, the Kickstarter promotion failed to raise the amount required however due to considerable interest Dave of Caliver released an initial selection of figures for this colourful war.
The figures have an old school charm with no pose variants at this time The initial releases shows a Peruvian infantryman(PAC001) advancing can be painted wearing either gaiters or boots, has a poncho around the waist.
Officer in kepi(PAC002)this figure whilst semi-generic would be better for Peruvian command, as most off the other nations wore double breasted jackets.
PAC011 – Indicates an infantryman wearing kepi with Havelock, this whilst not defined would be a Bolivian
PAC013 Bugler in covered kepi again whilst not defined but initially was described as a Peruvian is in fact a Bolivian at a pinch could be used for some of the Peruvian National guard units.
PAC014 Standard bearer wearing Havelock, there is no picture of this figure and as yet I have not seen this casting so cannot comment as to country suitability.
PAC022,023,024 Officer, bugler and standard bearer in Shako these are ideally suitable for Bolivian command, primarily due to style of Shako but more importantly the bugler and standard bearer have rolled up trousers with under trousers showing.
PAC031 Chilean in Picklehaube is shown in greatcoat with backpack – advancing in pose, accurately described slightly wooden pose.

PAC041 Generic infantryman in greatcoat – as described ideal for both Peruvian and Chilean forces
PAC051 and 052 Chilean naval brigade – these are an oddity more naval crew than brigade and should be treated as such.Officer is slightly chunky.
The figures are generally clean of flash (except PAC022 which needs extensive cleaning between the legs), there are some mould lines that will need cleaning up, detail is reasonably crisp and will provide an ideal base for a painter to work their magic
The Initial release is most welcome, there are gaps at present but I understand that these will be filled soon.
