Got "bugged" while editing the post, which is below!

I have added part 2, covering the bulk of the maneuvers and fighting by the Corps of Blucher, Bernadotte, Schwarzenberg, Sievers, Ney, McDonald, St. Cyr, and Oudinot, with fighting taking place near Torgau, Gorlitz, and Bautzen.

Oudinot meets Bwernadotte near Torgau; Joe's Swedes take the table for the dirst time in over a decade, and prove worthy to the task. "No one's gonna call *me* a "Precious Swede, Sven!"

All quiet around the Dresden table

St Cyr's Corps marched to and fro, here seen heading South through the Erzgebirge Mountains and past Torplitz.

Blucher's Prussians advance from the Breslau table marching on Gorlitz.

picture

Scwazenberg's Austrians arrive to reinforce the attack on Gorlitz.

picture

Siever's Russian cavalry corps tied down a substantial part of Ney's corps, without ever committing themselves fully (a good thing).

The Hanoverain contiongent of Benadottes' Corps enjoyed the Garrison duty in Berlin!

Gorlitz has fallen to Schwarzenberg!

Many more pictures and narrative, as well as maps that make the maneuvers far clearer to the reader than it ever was to the participants. The rules worked very well at handling this multi-player (8), multi-table (10) extravaganza!

Explanation and maps of the setup and initial moves are found in part 1:

Final moves and thoughts will follow in part 3 later this week…

Peter,
Great looking!! Lots of tables and great idea on the way you did the maps. We used a similar idea years ago in a Napoleonic campaign setting. We also did Leipzig on a gym floor once, with plenty of damaged figures as an end result.

John,

Thanks! I think I'd prefer to avoid the broken bodies and use the tables instead!

Steve,

You're definitely invited to the next one! :-)

MG,

Go easy on the butter, OK? :-)
