In the 15mm Old Glory Confederate Generals (East & West) packs there is a guidon bearer with a triangular pennant. I assume they are to be like the Army of the Potomac's pennants designating particular brigades. Yet I can't find any examples of Confederate equivalents. I have all the Ospreys that would deal with this and the Histoire ones too and there are no images. Google is failing me too. Swallow tailed stars and bars? All over the place but these are large triangular pennants – not little lancer pennants. I read that the AoNV didn't have flags for brigades so how should I paint these two? |

The only things that would be close to that would be the right & left general guide markers for a regiment, and the red marker for a field dressing station. However, those markers (guidons if you will) were square or rectangular and/or swallow tailed rather than triangular shaped. I'd say just keep them to hand to use for converting to other color-bearers, etc. |

I did some research and have yet to find a triangular guidon or command flag for the CSA. Tkindred's comments seem spot on. |
