2014 will be the hundredth anniversary of the beginning of the Great War. I started collecting more minis to run some August/September scenarios. Anyone else looking at the Centennial?

I'll probably do some stuff with GWSH. I was hoping the new edition was going to be out by then but it's not looking too good.

We are considering a large battle recreation here in NZ using GWSH to coincide with Shawn and Robert's LARGE Marne recreation in France itself.. I'll leave them to offer up the detail of their massive undertaking. Ours will be more modest. Kind regards Robin

Hadn't thought about it, but that would be an interesting theme for an anniversary project. Finding the time to do anything big might be a strain, though.

I hadn't been planning on it until I nabbed some bags of Battle Honors early WWI (French and German) at the flea market at Fall In this year. If I do run something, it will be for the club and it won't be a massive game. I was thinking of zooming down into a part of the Battle of the Marne, but also liked the idea of the frontier battles as well. Haven't begun any research yet though.

Our 2014 Salute participation game will be centered around an armoured car raid in the vicinity of Antwerp.
