Fantastic. Two much needed sets. No guess though on release date. TomT |

Mounted archers are a real welcome addition to the medieval European armies line. Looking forward to their release. |

No guess though on release date. Perrys have a habit of only giving any sort of release date estimates for plastic sets when those sets are very close to actually entering production – ie. around 1-2 months before the expected release date. This is probably rather sensible, considering that they also have other work to keep themselves busy, not to mention that the mould tooling is a complicated and time-consuming process that is mostly beyond their control. |

Two very cool sets. Although I already own enough metal hobilars for 2 armies, ill still pick up a box of the plastics! I can really use the plastic MAA box though as I've only painted up 1 of my 6 battles so far. Can't wait to see them! Too bad as Grief has noted these won't be out for b/t 6-18 months. |

Regarding schedules, on the cheery side one could consider that there are likely to be at most three other plastic sets in the queue before these (Afrika korps, ACW artillery and AWI continental infantry). Out of those, Afrika Korps is supposed to be already in the tooling, and ACW artillery has apparently already been half-tooled (limber and gun ready, crew not). On the less cheery side, for both of the WotR sets there was only one three-up available for display in Salute, so I would hazard a guess that there is still quite some sculpting work needing to be done. |

At Grief, I'm hoping since they have already included maa in the other wotr sets, perhaps it will be a faster released set. We can only hope. |

They need to release light cavalry horses. The MAA horses are way to big! |

At Grief, I'm hoping since they have already included maa in the other wotr sets, perhaps it will be a faster released set. We can only hope. There is that, and they certainly did some reusage of existing heads and bodies with the mercenary set. That said, I would like to see plenty of new material in such a set, rather than just rehashing existing components around. This would provide for more variety – I already have enough of the men-at-arms bits on the existing sprues. And I don't think waiting a couple of months more is too bad, if it means we get to see more new options. Then again, I don't see any particular point in making a new command sprue for the foot knights, though it would be nice to see something included in the set – perhaps they could just re-use the existing command sprues? |
