I've recently come across a copy of Sky Galleons of Mars, and the minis therein are a bit… Lacking. The sails for the Martian ships in particular are not very nice.

The scale is roughly 1:1200 or 1:1000.

Can anyone recommend manufacturers that produce (and hopefully sell separately) sails that might fit these skyships? I'm thinking in particular those lateen sails (triangular) like this:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lateen

There used to be a modeller here in San Francisco who sold these types of miniatures, but I can't recall his name, and google is failing me. So here's my bonus question: does anyone know that modeller or the name of his store/website? I seem to recall his store had "naval" and "shipyard" in the name, but he may no longer be producing? I last bought from him in 2008 or 2009.

Could try Langton Miniaturues in UK:

go to'1/1200 Napoleonic/1/1200 unrated" and have a look at the sets for Chebec and the one below it.

Keep in mind that the Langton Chebec sails are not separate – they are sold as a complete kit with the hull.
