The Russians are coming along well now, although there's still a way to go yet. I thought I'd take a few pics of them deployed on the C&C board as that's where they will be used (I replace the supplied wooden blocks with 6mm troops, so in effect they are really just playing pieces). Overall I'm pleased with the look of them. I just add the flags I like the look of for aesthetic effect rather than strict historical accuracy in this scale.

All figures are by Baccus.

Cheers,

Lee.

A few pics.

Beautiful work on the miniatures Lee, really makes for a great looking game. I'd like to do what you have done for C&C Ancients some time. – James

Very very nice Lee, great work as usual. I have just about finished a brit army and the later hussars and light dragoons are brilliant castings, hope to put a pic on very soon,

Thank you laager.

James, at some point in the future I plan to do the same for C&CA. Last year I started a commission for two huge C&CA 6mm 'Epic'armies except the guy was using 100mm hexes with bigger units, typical heavy and medium infantry units were 48 figures each, looked spectacular when you placed 10 units of infantry side by side! I worked on it for 6 months before it kind of overwhelmed me and I had to pull out! My own planned version will be like my Napoleonics though,to be played on the board.

Here's a couple of photos for you, hope it's OK to post them in this board, but it's just to illustrate the impact of massed 6mm figures.

Napoleonic fans please just look away for a few seconds!

Lee.

Great work (both the Naps and ancients).

Very smart. I played the 1st scenario twice on Friday night and it would have looked nice with your Russians.

I have just taken delivery of a batch of 6mm Austrians and would liketo base like yours in anticipation of the Austrian module (but that of course requires a re-base of French which are on 60mm). How do you show 'block removal'? cheers Norm.

Yeah, I really like the new Russian sculpts compared to the old ones. I have high hopes for the new French sculpts too.

Fantastic work, great painting!
Command and Colours however…like playing chequers when chess is better IMHO.

Cheers
