Recently picked up BG Delux and impressed. However, can anyone give me a page reference to where it talks about picking up DPs as a result of rolling low for normal movement? For the life of me I can't see where it says anything about the mechanism, but I know it exists. Thanks. |

I can when I get home. You pick up one Dp for each "2" rolled on the average dice. We ditched those in favor of just sticking with six sided dice and you pick up a DP for each "1" rolled with those. Skirmishers only pick up one DP for movement, regardless of what they roll. Open order also limits DPs for movement/terrain. |

HG I don't play BG however there is a big difference in probability between rolling a 2 o average dice and a 1 on a D6. What impact does that have on your games? |

2 and 1 each appear once on their respective dice, why would probability be different? Cheers Jon |

Average dice are: 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5 (I think) Normal six sided dice are, 1,2,3,4,5,6 We see no difference in the game using six sided dice for everything (BG only uses them for movement of most troops, but not all). It cuts down the confusion. I do put in more penalties for terrain than a usual BG game might, as that was the big challenge to the units on the move. |

Wally – I've posted an asnwer on GdB. You will find the necessary explanation on the BG! Deluxe errata sheet, which you can download from the GdB home page. As historygamer says, some people just find it easier to deal with D6 throughout

Those of that aren't that smart
. :-) I just found that when I was running games guys kept hesitating to reach for the dice, or kept asking which ones, sooooo
. six sided it was. :-) |

Kind sir, thank you very much. I thought I was going insane (although my wife still thinks this is so). I bought the rules second hand and there was no errata sheet. Should've looked on the GdB page [Doh]. I've played BG a couple of times off the quick sheet and so I'm aware of the mechanic of accruing DPs as a result of movement, I just couldn't see it anywhere. |
