I got a bunch of Foundry FPW cavalry from TMP's notorious Man of Mystery, but no horses. These cav do not come with saddle furniture cast on the figure. I had a lead on some horses that turned out to be Essex. Herem there are no saddles cast on the horse! While vacuuming up spring dog hair, it suddenly occurred to me that perhaps plastic cavalry might be cheap enough to give me what I want. So, I stopped vacuuming to ask if the standard 28mm plastic horses come with cast on saddles, and if they are compatible with the slightly smaller earlier Foundry FPW cavalry. Also, how many horses do I get per box, and what is the price? |

BTW, these are for an Imagi-nation, so I am not all that worried about "incorrect" saddle cloths. |

Check wargames factory to see if these would work for you. |

Check wargames factory to see if these would work for you. Yes, I got a bucketload of those on sale last year mainly looking to replace a lot of old GB "carousel ponies" (love the Beasties' humans, but
) They are buried in the back of a cabinet but memory (and the link at WF below) says they do have a belly cinch, no blanket. They do have rudimentary bridles, only two of the four heads have reins. link Cheers,

I am just painting up some Warlord Games Royalist cavalry – plastic figs – the horses have cast-on saddlecloths, very simple I put a Foundry fig on one and they seemed to fit pretty well |

Not a big fan of plastic horses with metal riders. I have replaced most of the ones I have(mostly GW)due to to ankle weakness and general top heaviness. I know others who complain of similar problems. You can pin the horse, but I simply bought metal horses at various flea markets to replace the plastic ones. A missing saddle cloth/saddle is easily rectified by paper, and/or actual cloth glued on first. |
