2 to 4 cons (all depends on cash flow at the time)

Run 3 to 4 games at the local club. Play in 10 or so (monthly club games)

one local multi day, Enfilade, and 3 game day events.

3 games at cons and 1 every 2 months with the local group.

Will be relocating between now and the end of Summer so my plans are up in the air. I hoped to make Little Wars this coming weekend but job related issues will limit what time I have to go if any. If I am on the East Coast by Summer will attempt to put in an appearance at Historicon and Fall In. I did make Winter Wars here this year and was a good day. Can not really make much in the way of plans so GMing something is out for now.

Our 2 local cons, and I'm running an all day Brandy Station game in June and an all day game of Austerlitz in August.

Seven Years' War Assn. Weekend.
Held a couple weeks ago.
That's all for me in 2013.

I ran one game, The Storm of Quebec in 1760.
A what-if game.
See it here:

8-11; I was shooting for 12 this year.

Siege of Augusta GA; Recon in Orlando; Nashcon in Nashville; Bayou Wars in new Orleans; Rapier in Jacksonville Florida; Pelicon in Pensacola is a maybe; Historicon in Fredricksburg VA; Hubcon in hattiburg MS; Hurricon in Orlando. I am not sure about October or Novemeber.
My wife having cancer forced me to cancel Twistercon (Oklahoma City)and Coastcon (Biloxi MS).

If you bouncing around the SE Rudy, give Southern Front some consideration. 6-8 September at the North Raleigh Hilton.

Rudysnelson28 Apr 2013 1:51 p.m. PST

Yes John, I have been to it in the past. It was a good show.

Rotundo29 Apr 2013 8:59 a.m. PST

I have been to the Williamsburg Muster and Cold Wars so far. I am most likely going to and running a game at N.J.Con. I also am an Essington Gamesday player/host and may run a few games throughout the year either singular or as a group. I am also Daytripping a few more shows and Cons. Work will dictate my attendance on the last. Say four weekend cons, four day trips, say eight game days,50 appearances at the stores near by, and a dozen? home games a year.

So Far

Vapa – York

Salute – London

This Saturday – Carronade – Falkirk

Also planned Wappinsahw in Glasgow and Claymore in Edinburgh.

The York trip was sponsored by my club and we might do something like that again later this year.

Not conventions but events

National Museum of Scotland – alongside their Viking exhibition

National Museum of Flight – alongside their wartime experience event this Sunday (it's going to be a busy weekend!)

I don't normally GM games but I hope to play in about 70 wargames this year – I am up to 29 so far.

ViscountEric07 May 2013 11:25 a.m. PST

Four

Cold Wars – Tax refund in hand, it's always my big purchase con. Throw in some beer and some old college buddies and it's my guy's weekend away from everything.

Mepacon – Twice a year (April & November) in Clarks Summit,PA. Not much wargaming, unless I run something, but it's good to see old friends and low ball bid everything in their everything-starts-at-a-dollar auction.

Historicon – either a long weekend with the family, or a day trip by myself. I'm shooting for daytrip.

Garand and 114th Pennsylvania,

When and where in Bethlehem is Cohorts? I would be interested in finding out about it.

I too, have interest in this.

ViscountEric07 May 2013 11:32 a.m. PST

A little search and I found this: link

Once I find a date for this year, this is a good alternative, if I can't get my group together.

47Ronin07 May 2013 2:47 p.m. PST

Nice list, Viscount Eric.

I also found the Cohorts page but could not find a convention date for 2013. Please let us know if you find out more.

The nice thing about Bethlehem, PA is that you can get there via bus from NYC. They turned part of the Bethlehem Steel property into a casino (The Sands, I think). Ninety minutes from the Port Authority and you are there. Two gaming activities in one trip.

114th Pennsylvania07 May 2013 7:36 p.m. PST

Sorry for the Delay.

Just found out from Dragon Head this weekend. Cohorts is August 23, 24,and 25th More to follow on Events and address for those mapquesters. Pretty easy to get to from Philly or New Jersey, right off RT 78.

John Sowerby09 May 2013 9:31 a.m. PST

2 cons, Recon and Hurricon, both in Orlando. Recon saw my wife and I GM for two sessions, and we'll do at least two at Hurricon.

138SquadronRAF11 May 2013 8:41 a.m. PST

Three local Recon put on by the MMGA in the Twin Cities.

Navcon in Milwaukee, WI in October – with a side trip to the Ale Asylum in Madison and the St Francis Brewery just up the road from the Con.

47Ronin14 Jul 2013 1:02 p.m. PST

Over six months of the year have gone by.

How have your convention plans worked out so far?

J Womack 9414 Jul 2013 11:40 p.m. PST

Two for certain (one back in February, and Historicon in a few days).

Two others I would certainly like to make (Broadsides! on the Battleship Texas and Millenium in Austin, November).

Dave Knight17 Jul 2013 12:02 p.m. PST

Well I didn't make Wappinshaw but there is a good chance I will be at Culloden in October
