I just posted a battle report of our latest Hostile Realms battle, The Battle of Jakob's Ribs, on my blog. Undead versus Middle Kingdoms. Enjoy! link |

Nice report with great looking armies and terrain. I'll have to take a look at the other Hostile Realms posts on your blog. |

I had fun reading through those. Somehow Hostile Realms wasn't on my radar but they seem like a fun set of rules I should look into. |

Thanks guys! The author has a pretty good summary of the rules here: link |

Thank for the link. One question: I though there was a fantasy version of Piquet called Acheron? |

Are you thinking of the rules for ancients called Archon? |

They are fun rules and it's nice to have the rules and all of the army lists wrapped up in one package. |

Archon is the (excellent) Piquet supplement for Ancient warfare (through circa 1200 AD); 2nd edition by Eric Burgess. Hostile Realms is the Fantasy version by yours truly; mechanistically it is a bit of a hybrid between Piquet (Archon-2/Band of Brothers-2) and Brent Oman's Piquet family rules, Field of Battle. As Dave says, there is a pretty extensive summary of the rules on by Blog at the link provided. Peter Anderson

Sounds like a bloody draw – but I'm glad the undead didn't roll over this time! |
