I just posted a battle report of our latest Hostile Realms battle, The Battle of Jakob's Ribs, on my blog. Undead versus Middle Kingdoms. Enjoy!

Nice report with great looking armies and terrain.

I'll have to take a look at the other Hostile Realms posts on your blog.

I had fun reading through those.
Somehow Hostile Realms wasn't on my radar but they seem like a fun set of rules I should look into.

Thanks guys! The author has a pretty good summary of the rules here:

Thank for the link.

One question: I though there was a fantasy version of Piquet called Acheron?

Are you thinking of the rules for ancients called Archon?

boyinblue121 Apr 2013 5:36 p.m. PST

They are fun rules and it's nice to have the rules and all of the army lists wrapped up in one package.

Archon is the (excellent) Piquet supplement for Ancient warfare (through circa 1200 AD); 2nd edition by Eric Burgess.

Hostile Realms is the Fantasy version by yours truly; mechanistically it is a bit of a hybrid between Piquet (Archon-2/Band of Brothers-2) and Brent Oman's Piquet family rules, Field of Battle.

As Dave says, there is a pretty extensive summary of the rules on by Blog at the link provided.

Sounds like a bloody draw – but I'm glad the undead didn't roll over this time!
