I've got my next half squad completed. The officers cap I wasn't happy with it didn't quite look right so I did a little rework with greenstuff I think it looks better for it
anyway thanks for looking, more pics at link cheers Russ

So you're getting into some sculpting? I've thought of doing some of that myself. But my attempts haven't come off so well. Unless one should count making sandbag and earthen emplacements out of Sculpey. Really minor stuff. So, was it bringing the front peak of the officer's hat a bit higher? It seems the one with the pistol has a higher peak on his hat. At any rate, the work is up to your usual excellent standards. Ready for a game. |

tommie atkins, they are Warlords plastic 28mm bolt action minis. I'm expanding my ww2 collection beyond the dabble stage. The BA stuff has grown on me massively and the more I see the more I end up getting! It was only going to be something different to do but now I think I'm addicted. Thanks for the kind comments about my work! most of my ACW stuff is Dixon, with the odd bit of S&S, and one or two other stray pieces thrown in, and some conversions thrown in for good measure. Robby the officers cap looked abit flat and more British than German, so I cut away the peak and re shaped it with green stuff, I've always done small bits and pieces (mainly my ACW stuff) but I'm now finding my way with WW2 stuff. A lot of the different poses I've created on my Heer are made up of arms from Victrix napoleonics and a little green stuff to finish it off. I did the side cap on one of my Fallschirmjagers and that turned out ok, so I'm now pushing myself a little! I've removed the arm from my SS officer and re modeled it from greenstuff so his hand now sits in his coat pocket. I'm no great shakes with greenstuff but I get away with it from time to time! I've done bits like the mg42s pouch and I'm working on my next officer/nco, he's half of two different figures. Top half officer tunic, buttoned up formal collar, and the other half running legs. One arms a French napoleonic raised hand signaling, scratchbuilt mapcase! So I'm slowly making slightly more alterations to my figures (no two figures the same) is the idea I'm going on. Anyhow I've rambled enough, I'm still looking for some new rules (Bolt Action) is becoming tempting and possible Black Powder for my Civil War stuff! It would be nice to get my ACW collection out and give it chance to see some action! So thanks for the feedback cheers Russ |

Lace around the collar edge indicates sergeants; officers don't have it. Nice work though! |

Thanks number4, I will correct it at some point. I'm slowly learning from bits and pieces of info that people are giving me in feedback! So thanks for the feedback cheers Russ |
