Comments or corrections?

I am trying to get one of these assembled and based this weekend but I am having difficulty!

The part that is causing probs is the diagonal 'strut' under the barrel slide. Why is it there? Does it need to be removed, trimmed, adjusted or reseated on something? I can't see such a part on originals but then cannot believe the guns entire weight was held on the rear trunnions!

Can someone please help me!

Google has lots of images: link

I thínk that your "strut" is just flash, but perhaps someone will correct me.

Thanks Porthos, I wrote to Tiger and they tell me its there to aid positioning the barrel. So its flash but with a purpose!
