Has anyone toyed with defining units as "green" or "veteran" and adjusted their fire or movement charts to reflect their training? |

Works a treat, in my opinion. John the OFM can fill you in better. Eric |

It is already done, with regulars being British or Egyptian. I do the American Revolution almost 95% out of the book. I give muskets carbine range, with rifles as rifles. British are "British", as are elite Continentals. Continentals and green British/Loyalists are "Egyptian". Settlers are Boers. REALLY bad troops are Bashi Bazouks. Add Indians and rate them as Zulu, Dervish or Pathan, depending on your whims. Bows get 12" range. Mister Franklin's Leyden Jar Galvanic Projectors are Gatling guns. I have always thought that TSATF is like beef stew. Sure, you have the basic recipe, but that doesn't stop you from adding garlic or Guinness. |
