This may work better: link Ah, yes it does once it is separated from the rest of the sentence. Very nicely done. At first I was confused with the "explosion" of purple until I realized with a close-up that they were grape vines! Jim |

I was going for a lavender field but grapes would do. Trying for Normandy Bocage and trying to add some color into what is otherwise mostly green and brown. To make a terrain that is as visually interesting as the figures. Thanks for the help with the link. My computer skills are rather basic. |

That brings up a good question – just what was in most of those field in Normandy in June/July? From the pictures I have seen, not a lot of crops. I am referring to the American sector. |

Nice looking terrain! The area has two main agricultural staples, apple orchards and dairy farming. In support of the dairy industry you would find a lot of rye, barley, hay. However a field of lavender would not be out of place especially if the farmer also raises bees. Grapes too, for making champaign. |

The apples and cows I was aware of. Thanks for the other info, though I don't recalls seeing many photos of grapes in the US sector. |
