Hi all, I'm looking at getting a small (probably 1/300) AC-130 for a game as a representation, problem is I cannot seem to find one anywhere. I've checked Heroics and Ros and no luck there.
I vaguely remember a British based company doing one but can't remember the companies name.

Any help much appreciated

Dan

Skyraider Miniatures unfortunately – they seem to be defunct. It might be worth asking Armaments In Miniature, as they have a C-130 and seem to be pretty open to customer requests.

Not an AC-130 but perhaps you can add the barrels to this shapeways C-130.

(OWW! Only just looked at the price…)

And here is an old thread on a C-130, Armaments in Miniature had them at the time.

AIM are definitely the way forward on this one….

I went looking for one as a model kit and was surprised that there wasn't a lot of grey area. They were either the wrong scale and cheap or perfect and [^ expensive.

This one is not bad for 1:144 link

I don't wish to hijack this thread, or insult the work that has gone into that Shapeways model but is the level of detail on that the norm for Shapeways aircraft.

There is no norm as such for a Shapeways model. Each "artist" can add as much detail as they see fit – and that the printer can handle.

1/600 – tumbling dice do one?

F-toys do a prepainted (some assembly and attachment of small parts required, although it's pretty easy to do) 1/300 scale C-130 variant in green camouflage. Just blot over the JDF roundels on the fuselage and wing surfaces, add weaponry mounts and barrels, and voila, a gunship.

Dynaman8789 – thank you for the response.

Cheers guys, maybe I should look at one of the slightly larger plastic kits instead

CorpCommander26 Apr 2013 9:26 a.m. PST

This one is in plastic, at 1:110 scale (!!!) and under $10 USDUS (!!!!!)

It's a C-130 but, at that price I smell a conversion project!

I bought C130 and C17 models from armaments, in miniature only 2 weeks ago and they happily ship from the US to the UK.
