Would like to do some boarding actions and maybe some Sharpe Practce with Pirates. I know Peter Pig does Pirates but does any one do regular crew? Thanks Joe |

Thoroughbred Figures has a lot of 15mm crew and such for 1812. Not sure if that will help or not, but here's the link. link Scroll down a bit to the naval crew section. |

Merrimack miniatures might saill have theirs. Think AB might do crew or "landing party". |

@Onomarchos: Capitan makes both 18 and 28mm figs. The range Mark mentions is 18mm. |

Yep, 79thPA is correct. They also offer a free set of rules, and deck plans that you can print out, to fight your battles on. |

Thanks for all the info. Captain miniatures has an extensive line but does anyone know how "big" their figures are? All my buidlings and and my few pirates are 15mm (Peter Pig)Can I get away with mixing their figures and my buildings? {Can't have scrawny pirates.} I saw their gunboat rules but can find no review. Mako, Have their boarding rules-- not bad but will stick to Sharp Practice. Blue Moon also looks good but not extensive. Thank you all for your help. I rarely branch into new periods ( WW II and dark ages only so far) and have never deviated from 15 mm. I play board games whenever I have an itch so a new period for me is huge. Thanks again. Joe |

18mms to their eyes, supposedly, but I haven't seen them in person. Too large for matching well with the PP minis I suspect, but still good for their own force on force battles, using their minis. In this scale, they have one of the better selections, and their minis look very nice, so I hope to get some of them, one day. |

The Minifigs British and French seamen are very nice sets of figures. link British:
British Marines:
French:
They also do pirates but like the Peter Pig ones these are in tricorne and so really more appropriate for a slightly earlier period. You could, however, mix in some of the Minifigs Spanish guerlillas which are very characterful figures and have something of a piratical look to them. |
