Hi Everyone:

I've restarted my World War One project and my late war Brits and Germans are mostly from Great War Miniatures with some Renegade thrown into the mix. Since Great War do not make late war French, what manufacturer do you use? Brigade Games, Woodbine, or Scarab.

I'm pretty fussy about scale and don't like to mix smaller and larger miniatures on the same table, so I'm looking for a good match for Great War Miniatures.

Thoughts?

I have Old Glory – from their Trench Wars range. Guess they'd be on the smaller side of 28mm, but they have a fairly extensive range – and the price was right (with the Army Membership I had back when I ordered them). Oops – I misread your OOP, thought you said you weren't fussy for size. So, OG French would be smaller than Great War and Renegade for sure. Sorry about that, Dean

Answering the original question, Foundry.

They're not a good match for any of the ranges you listed, but since all my Germans and Brits are Foundry, I'm kinda stuck ;-)

Blue Moon or Pendraken.

Scarab Miniatures -spot on!! The Brigade ones are fab too and are the right size but feature a lot of helmet covers which weren't generally used.
For my money my favourite ever Later war Frenchies -Airfix!!!

"a lot of helmet covers which weren't generally used."

It really depends what part of the war you are focusing on.

We have plenty without covers.

I would recommend Scarab.

I think I'll give Scarab a try. Thanks.

Airfix, Revell and HaT (plus a few metals).

I particularly like the bloke with the pigeon in the Airfix set.

OOps I have done Brigade a dis-service -there are indeed a lot of bare Adrians. Still not convinced there was much use of helmet covers in the French army at any period.
Where can I get these in the UK -I have a fear of incurring a monsterous import charge if I order direct?

IT Miniatures from Frontline Wargaming.
