I just downloaded this app today (slightly relevant to miniature wargames might I add.)
It is pretty fun. Not very historical. Romans with chariots… really?
They are captured chariots…. but still…

Any ways, the game is basically a hex grid, with each hex representing about 200 or so meters. Your side gets a city, and some basic forces, and the enemy gets the same. There is a fog of war between you, and your goal is to capture all enemy villages.
It is only $3 USD in the amazon app store, it is pretty fun no lies.

I think the computer Ai is pretty good too, all though it is pretty…. random.

Example elite praetorians in a forest have 83% chance of harming an elite spear… from the flank. The spears have a 30% of doing something to my praetorians. My praetorians lose the battle… every single time…

So it can be random.
but to the general who likes to "cat paw" his enemies, this is the game.

If you have a kindle fire or android tablet, I recommend this game.

I give it a 7/10
It needs a fair Ai, and a morale system.

Can you play both sides or must you play against AI?

I actually rather liked the program. You have to fight a little more like a real general in that you need reserves to fill the gaps when one of your units loses a fight. You must use cities to refit those damaged units.

I won every campaign in the original game. It is not easy to play but it is winnable.

I believe you can play both sides. Haven't got there yet. I'm still stuck on campaign ;)

As stated above, it is hard, but winnable
