I will be starting on several elements of the Riders of Rohan shortly and I am interested to know what paint brand and color others have used for their cloaks and shields. Thank you,

Terry

I have mostly used GW – Catachan Green with a few Camo Green. I used Dark Angels for the Royal Guard. I plan to add a few with brown and red cloaks just to mix it up.

I work in 10mm, but I use Apple Barrel Hunter Green and Americana Evergreen, which are so close I can't tell a difference. Of course, at that scale I don't attempt special highlights or shading (aside from a dark wash), so I can't advise you on those.

Thank you for thesuggestoins. I have picked up a bottle of the Hunter Green, and it does look a good choice. I also picked up a bottle of Vallejo Game Colour Sick Green, which is a little lighter and I like it too as an option. Thanks again,

Terry

I use FolkArt Meadow Green, with a bit of black added for basecoat, straight from the bottle for main cover, and a touch of antique white (think GW bleached bone) for highlight, then overall Future + Winsor & Newton peat brown ink as my "magic wash"
